On the Road with Sogedim

On the Road with Sogedim

This week, the teams of CG inspired by Corneel Geerts and Sogedim SpA | Trasporti e Logistica spent several days on the road across Belgium, visiting customers and discussing the future of logistics flows between Italy and the Benelux.

The joint sales campaign brought together commercial and operational expertise from both companies, creating valuable opportunities to review existing transport flows and explore new collaborations.

More importantly, the week once again demonstrated how essential direct customer dialogue remains in international logistics.

Bringing Logistics Closer to the Customer

Throughout the week, our teams met with companies across different industries, gaining a better understanding of their production processes, distribution strategies and supply chain challenges.

These visits are a key part of how we continuously improve our services.
By seeing operations first-hand and discussing logistics needs directly with customers, we can better align transport solutions with real operational requirements.

In many discussions, companies highlighted the importance of:

  • reliable transit times
  • flexible transport capacity
  • clear communication between logistics partners
  • strong visibility across international supply chains

These insights help us further refine the services we offer together with Sogedim.

A Strong Partnership Driving Reliable Transport

The collaboration between CG inspired by Corneel Geerts and Sogedim plays an important role in connecting Italian production regions with distribution markets across the Benelux and Northern Europe.

By combining Sogedim’s strong Italian network with CG’s operational presence in the Benelux, we provide customers with a reliable and well-coordinated transport corridor between these regions.

This close partnership ensures:

  • efficient operational coordination
  • frequent and reliable departures
  • fast decision-making across both organisations
  • consistent service quality for international shipments

It is this operational alignment that allows us to support increasingly complex European supply chains.

More Than a Sales Campaign

While the week was focused on customer visits, it also created valuable opportunities for both teams to exchange knowledge and align strategies.

Working together in the field allows commercial and operational teams to better understand market expectations and continuously strengthen the collaboration between both organisations.

These shared experiences play an important role in keeping our logistics solutions aligned with the needs of our customers.

A Week That Reinforces Strong Partnerships

The past days clearly showed how valuable close collaboration between logistics partners and customers remains.

Meeting companies face-to-face, discussing their supply chain challenges and seeing operations on site provides insights that simply cannot be gained from behind a desk. These conversations help us continuously improve our services and strengthen the transport connections between Italy and the Benelux.

We would like to thank the Sogedim team for an inspiring and productive week, as well as all customers who welcomed us during our visits.

Weeks like this remind us that successful logistics is built on strong relationships, trust and continuous dialogue.
